Mixing it up is often a good idea. With the impending changes to “Impact Wrestling”, the creative team likely needed to be shaken up as well. It seems that it’s the case, but this time around it seems to be some old favorites taking the helm. To be fair, they had success with a lot of this lineup before.

According to PWInsider, the new creative team will be headed up by Jeff Jarrett and officially consisting of Dutch Mantel and Scott D’Amore. The three of them will be assisted by Abyss, Rockstar Spud and Jeremy Borash. There is also the possibility of a writer being hired to be responsible for taking the shows and turning them into scripts to be produced.

Opinion: After the previous year being the disaster that it was, they really didn’t have a choice but to change things up in a major way. These are some old school guys who know how to do a basic wrestling promotion and that’s all it needs to be. TNA doesn’t need to be this big production. They need to build their audience back and see where things go forward. Maybe the new team can help them get there.
