History has been made! Titles are probably the most basic plot device in all of professional wrestling. You can put anyone in the ring with a title on the line and the story writes itself. Something else can be added here or there, but the title itself is what matters the most. That was the case at Tables, Ladders And Chairs and this time around, it resulted in a title change.

There are very few teams who have had the same level of success as the New Day. While they have had three members of the team rather than two, you can’t argue with ten title reigns over the years. That is the kind of rare air that makes them one of the most successful teams of all time, though they have had some issues with the Hurt Business, which brought us to Sunday.

Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin of the Hurt Business defeated the New Day to win the Raw Tag Team Titles for the first time at Tables, Ladders And Chairs. This is Alexander’s first title reign and Benjamin’s first title reign in seventeen years. Alexander pinned Kofi Kingston to win the titles, with fellow Hurt Business member Bobby Lashley coming out to celebrate after the win.

The teams have been going at it for a good while now. Check out how we got to the title change:

Opinion: This was the right call as New Day has been the champions for the better part of forever and it isn’t like losing the belts again is going to hurt them. The Hurt Business is the kind of team who could be a big deal for a good while to come so this is the kind of win that they need. There is no reason to keep the titles on the New Day so going with what makes sense is nice for a change.

What did you think of the title change? How long will the Hurt Business hold the titles? Let us know in the comments below.
