Title Change Takes Place On Monday Night Raw

Never trust the little guy. Over the last few weeks, things haven’t been going great on Monday Night Raw. The lowest of the low points may have been Drake Maverick, shall we say, relieving himself on Bobby Roode’s robe in the men’s room. This didn’t exactly go over well with fans, but Roode wasn’t happy about it either. Well now he’s gotten a little bit of revenge.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Roode and Chad Gable won the Raw Tag Team Titles by defeating AOP and Maverick in a handicap match when Roode pinned Maverick. The match came about despite Roode and Gable losing the same match last week with the stipulation that a win would give them a shot at the titles. This is Roode’s first Tag Team Title in WWE and Gable’s second.

Opinion: While I’m not wild on the random title change, the fans needed something to cheer for on Monday Night Raw and this is at least a starting point. You can probably pencil in the rematch for Sunday and that’s perfectly fine. The AOP didn’t get pinned so they’re kept strong and the fans have something to get behind. It’s not a big solution to the problems, but it’s a nice treat.
