That’s a scary one. Earlier this year, Big Cass left WWE after not having the best run in the world to end his tenure. Since then he continued his run on the independent circuit to some success, though one of the most notable things about him was the amount of weight he had gained. It was clear that he wasn’t quite the same as he was in WWE but now things have gotten a bit worse.

According to PWInsider.com, Big Cass suffered a seizure at tonight’s House of Hardcore event in Philadelphia. Big Cass was scheduled to perform on the second half of the show and was appearing in the lobby during intermission when he collapsed. According to Wrestlinginc.com, he was awake and communicating from one knee when an ambulance came to take him to a hospital. Promoter Tommy Dreamer came out to address the crowd about the situation.

This was not a work. Here’s Dreamer’s explanation to the crowd and asking for prayers for Big Cass:

Opinion: Thankfully it seems that Big Cass is in somewhat ok shape, all things considering. The fact that he was awake and communicating is a very good sign and hopefully everything is ok. This was completely different than wrestling and is a real life situation that involves someone having a severe issue. Hopefully everything is fine and Big Cass is back and healthy sooner rather than later.
