You can’t say he hasn’t earned it. Kurt Angle is one of the most decorated wrestlers in any form you want to name. He’s an Olympic gold medalist of course, but he’s also one of the most successful professional wrestlers of all time. There isn’t much he hasn’t done in the spot, and that includes winning several World Titles. That sounds important enough to look back on no?

I wonder if he had a broken freakin neck for any of these. Check out this retrospective of Angle’s World Title wins:

Kurt Angle's six World Championship victories: WWE Milestones

In honor of his fiftieth birthday, WWE has posted a new video looking at all six of Angle’s World Title wins during his time in the company. Angle’s first such win took place at No Mercy in 200 while his final came in a battle royal on SmackDown in January 2006. Over the course of his time with the company, Angle won four WWE Championships, one WCW World Championship and one World Heavyweight Championship.

Opinion: I know he’s remembered as being really good, but Angle was REALLY good. When he was at the top of his game, there was no one better anywhere around him and he knew it. His in-ring abilities are second to very few and he could cut a heck of a great promo. There’s a reason that very few people have as many World Title reigns as he did and several of them came when there was only one title to win, making them even more impressive.

Which of Angle’s title win was the most impressive? Where do you have him ranked all time? Let us know in the comments below.
