This one isn’t really surprising. We’re less than a week away from Clash Of Champions and most of the card is already set. There are still a few things that need to be taken care of though and that includes having a few things set up over this week’s television. That was the case on Monday Night Raw as a title match seemed to be set up, and the following day, everything was set up.

As announced on WWE’s Twitter account, United States Champion AJ Styles will defend his title against Cedric Alexander on Sunday at Clash Of Champions. Alexander defeated Styles twice on this week’s Monday Night Raw, once by disqualification in a singles match and once by pinfall in a ten man tag to end the show. This is Alexander’s first shot at the United States Title.

Alexander was fired up after his win. Check out his post show comments:

Opinion: This is an obvious one but at least we’re getting a good match out of it. I don’t think Styles is going to lose the title here but at least he and Alexander can have a great match on the way there. Alexander is getting a rather nice rub in recent months and it is clear that WWE sees a lot in him. He has already won two titles in WWE and a third wouldn’t be the biggest shock.
