You could probably guess this one. The arrival of the new NXT names tot he main roster has shaken up a few things, not the least of which is the tag division. Both the teams of Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano and Aleister Black and Ricochet have defeated the Raw Tag Team Champions The Revival. Odds are you know what’s coming but there’s a bit of a twist.
In a new video posted on WWE.com, WWE has announced that the Revival will defend the Raw Tag Team Titles against the teams of Black and Ricochet and Chad Gable and Bobby Roode, the latter of whom lost the titles to the Revival, at Fastlane. Roode and Gable interfered in a title match on this week’s Monday Night Raw when Black and Ricochet were challenging the Revival.
The champs were in action on Monday. Check out their title defense in a preview for Fastlane:
Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world and there’s nothing wrong with that. Sometimes you need to go with the idea that is right there in front of you and that’s the kind of thing that WWE seems to be doing here. I’m not sure what happens to the titles, but I’d expect the Revival to retain, only to lose non-title match after non-title match because that’s how WWE works.
