We need more calendar space. So far, the wrestling story of the year, either in or out of WWE, has been AEW, which started their roll on the first of the year and hasn’t really stopped. They’ve held a few press conferences with a variety of announcements being made, but several of them didn’t have any specifics included. That is no longer the case with one of them.
On the newest episode of Being The Elite, AEW confirmed that their second event will be their previously announced Fight For The Fallen show, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the families of the victims of a shooting in Jacksonville, Florida in August 2018. The show will be held on July 13 at the 5,500 seat Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida.
And of course, the announcement. Check out the latest episode of Being The Elite:
Opinion: This is getting closer to the kind of thing that AEW needs to do. While having the actual shows is what matters most, it’s a good sign to have the concrete dates for these events. It gives you something to point towards and having two months between the first and second show, which isn’t all that much of a stretch. Now if only the shows can live up to the hype.
