This is only a rumor and we only have preliminary information, so take it for what its worth. According to a fan report, Smackdown Live Women’s Champion Asuka was seriously injured at a Live Event tonight in White Plains, New York.

During a match with Mandy Rose, Asuka was hit with a move that caused serious damage to the shoulder and neck areas. Apparently the match was a called a no contest, the referee through up the “X” symbol and WWE producers came sprinting out to check on the situation.

We will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available to us.

Editor’s Opinion:

If this is true, this could be chaotic for the Smackdown Live women’s division. Their top two superstars, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are going to be competing for the Raw Women’s Championship in the near future and they haven’t positioned anyone on the blue brand to be a legitimate contender to Asuka.
