It’s all in the details. Over the last week or so, the biggest story in wrestling has been the announcement of AEW. It seems that every five minutes there’s some story about who they have, where someone is signing, which legend they might be going after and anything else that people can find. Well now we know several more details, as the company has made some major announcements.

Today, AEW held a rally in Jacksonville, Florida, which featured a variety of announcements, including talents signed to the company, a teased match for their first show, the date of Double or Nothing and the location of their second event. One notable exception was Kenny Omega, who did not appear at the rally. Since there were so many things announced, here are some of the highlights in chronological order:

• So Cal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky) have signed with the promotion.
• OWE (Oriental Wrestling Entertainment) will be working with the promotion.
• Double or Nothing will take place at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
• Men will be paid the same as women.
• Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Joey Janela and Penelope Ford are with the promotion.
• Pac (Neville) showed up as a surprise and seems to be facing Hangman Page at Double or Nothing.
• The second event will be taking place in Jacksonville with a portion of the proceeds going towards victims of gun violence. No date or name was given.
• Chris Jericho was the big surprise at the end, announcing that he has signed with the promotion.

Here’s Jericho’s entrance. Check out the biggest deal for the company so far:

Opinion: Well I’d say that’s a resounding success. AEW was pretty light on details after their first week and while there’s still a lot to be done, this is the kind of thing that they needed to have announced. Jericho alone is a big deal and having a few other names helped fill out the card. It makes things look more like a promotion instead of Cody and the Young Bucks having fun. They have a long way to go, but this is a nice first step.

Which of these events is the most interesting? Who else do you want to see with the promotion? Let us know in the comments below.
