That’s a big one. The Royal Rumble is filling up more and more every single day and there’s no secret as to why. It’s one of the biggest and more important matches of the year because it gives you a guaranteed spot in the main event of WrestleMania. That means a lot to any wrestler, including the top stars in the world. One of the biggest names ever is official for the Rumble now and it’s kind of a surprise.
This week on Monday Night Raw, John Cena opened the show by officially announcing his entry into the Royal Rumble. Cena’s status for the match wasn’t clear as he is scheduled to begin shooting a movie near the end of the month. Cena has had success in the Royal Rumble before, winning the match in both 2008 and 2013. With his entry, there are currently twelve participants in the men’s Royal Rumble match.

Maybe it can be this good again. Check out one of the all time great Royal Rumble moments:

WWE Network: John Cena makes a surprise return at Royal Rumble 2008

Opinion: That’s one of the better things that could happen to the match. Cena isn’t a full time WWE guy anymore but having him in the Rumble makes it feel that much bigger. So far the match is one of the most stacked editions ever and with more top level guys, it’s only getting that much better. Cena isn’t likely to win, but you have to keep an eye on him just because of what he’s done before.

How well will Cena do in the match? Who do you have winning? Let us know in the comments below.
