Team Up? Roman Reigns And Current AEW Champion Reportedly Appearing Together In Upcoming Film

Call it a crossover? Wrestlers have had some success in acting before but it does not always work out. Sometimes a wrestler will go on to become a big deal, but other times they are stuck playing rather stereotypical tough guy roles in lower budget productions. It can lead to some interesting situations though, and that might be what we are in line for again if everything holds up.

The Internet Movie Database lists an upcoming film called “Action Force”, which is said to be in pre-production. The cast lists only five names at the moment, including Joe Anoa’i (Roman Reigns) and Tom Budgen (Malakai Black). There has been no official word on the two of them joining the cast or any word on when the movie might actually begin production. While Anoa’i has dabbled in acting before, this would be Budgen’s first appearance outside of a music video.

Opinion: I’ll file this under “I’ll believe it when I see it” as the film doesn’t exactly feel like a major production. Maybe this was something that was agreed to years ago and has been pushed down the road over and over, but for some reason, I’m not quite buying the idea that these two would be in a movie together, even if it could be a long way off. Maybe it does happen, but this feels so out of nowhere that it is hard to picture it happening.
