Take Two: Superstar Makes Shocking Return On Monday Night Raw

There’s your big moment. WWE has been undergoing a variety of changes in recent weeks and a lot of those have included names from the past returning. Some of those returns have been from wrestlers who never got a real chance on the main roster, which opens a lot of doors. There was another one this week and it has the potential to be one of the biggest yet.

Johnny Gargano made his return to WWE this week on Monday Night Raw, as he came to the ring for an interview. Gargano talked about wanting to win various championship and to wrestle at WrestleMania. Theory interrupted and suggested that they reform their partnership from NXT, but with Theory as the leader this time. Gargano superkicked him to end the segment. This was Gargano’s first wrestling appearance, save for a pre-taped cameo on an episode of Impact Wrestling, since December 2021, when his NXT contract expired, making him a free agent.

Opinion: This is one of the returns that NXT fans have been waiting for and it would have to come once Vince McMahon was out of power. Gargano is not a McMahon style guy, at least not in this kind of a role, so it makes sense to see it happen under Triple H. I’m not sure how far Gargano can go in WWE, but it has to be better than his previous nothing run on Monday Night Raw a few years back.
