A creative solution? WWE has a lot of programming to offer in a variety of ways. Of course their major programs are Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live, but they also have their big shows in Saudi Arabia. While these shows are not the most popular in wrestling, they make the company so much money that WWE almost has to accommodate them. We might have an idea of how they’re going to do that.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE may be consider an all women’s episode of SmackDown Live on November 1, which is the scheduled date for the next Saudi Arabia show. Since the Saudi Arabia and SmackDown Live will be airing live, both shows will not be able to have the full roster available. This is not confirmed and is more of an idea than something that is planned to take place.
They’ve held a women’s show before. Check out the behind the scenes look at Evolution:
Opinion: This would be an interesting decision as it tells you where WWE’s priorities are. They have both shows going on at once and while the women are not allowed to wrestle in Saudi Arabia, this is as good as they can get. It might not be what FOX wants for SmackDown Live, but the Saudi Arabian shows seem to make more money and that is where WWE is going to go.
