Sometimes you need a showstopper. Shawn Michaels joined the NXT coaching staff earlier this year and has been working at the WWE Performance Center in Florida for a few months now. However, he has a new role in the company and that means he’ll be on the road again in the very near future.

Shawn Michaels talks about the NXT Championship Ladder Match

According to PWInsider.com, Michaels will be serving as a producer on the upcoming NXT midwest tour as the producer for three shows. This is the first time that Michaels will be acting as a producer for any form of WWE show. There is no word on if he’ll be making an appearance before the live crowds.

Opinion: Former wrestlers have mixed results as producers though Michaels is one of the most experienced options they could have had. He knows how to work the top level WWE style and what WWE is looking for with its style. Hopefully that translates well down to NXT, where Michaels could be a huge asset.

Do you think Michaels will be a success? Can you see him taking an on-air role with NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
