One less boss. For reasons that I can’t understand, WWE really likes the idea of having multiple bosses on its shows. While “Monday Night Raw” is down to a General Manager alone, it seems that “Smackdown Live” may be following suit. On tonight’s show, one of the bosses lost their authority, at least for the time being.

This week on “Smackdown Live”, Shane McMahon was temporarily suspended as Commissioner. Earlier in the night, McMahon attacked Kevin Owens after Owens mentioned McMahon’s children. Later, Vince McMahon called General Manager Daniel Bryan to announce that Shane was being punished by indefinitely losing his power.

Here’s what set up this week’s incident.

Kevin Owens airs his grievances with Shane McMahon: SmackDown LIVE, Aug. 29, 2017

Opinion: I don’t think it’s any secret that we’re heading towards Owens vs. McMahon inside (or outside in McMahon’s case) the Cell and while that’s fine, I’m not exactly feeling this story. Having McMahon no longer be the boss isn’t the most thrilling idea but it does at least make sense. I could go for having one boss permanently, but WWE doesn’t seem to agree for whatever reason.

Do you think McMahon faces Owens in the Cell? Will McMahon get his power back? Let us know in the comments below.
