Three to go? One of the big stories of the last few weeks has been wrestlers trying to get out of WWE. Normally it’s the opposite case but sometimes people would rather get out than stay in. With the rise of AEW, the question became how many people would want out for the sake of trying their hand elsewhere. As it turns out, three names managed to get out in one day.
WWE has announced the releases of Hideo Itami, Tye Dillinger and TJP. The three of them had either been rumored to be released (Itami) or trying to gain their release (TJP and Dillinger). There is no word on where any of the three will be heading in the future, though there is a strong chance that Itami will be returning to Japan. It should be noted that all three announcements simply said that the three had been released, with no mention of the traditional best wishes in future endeavors.
This was it. Check out Itami’s last WWE match:
Can you count to ten? Check out Dillinger’s still great main roster debut:
TJP was still awesome. Check him out earlier this week against Humberto Carrillo:
Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised on any of these. Itami already made it clear that he was gone, Dillinger had barely been used in months and TJP was known to not have been the most happy guy in the world. At the end of the day, WWE has to clear out its roster at some point and these three weren’t doing much for them at the moment. That’s not to say they aren’t talented, but they’re not exactly tearing the house down every night. Hopefully they can be happy elsewhere, because they’re certainly good workers.
Which of these is the biggest departure? Where will they wind up? Let us know in the comments below.
