His opinion matters. You may or may not like him, but Vince McMahon is the most powerful man in all of professional wrestling. He has done quite a few things in wrestling, with some better than others, but at the end of the day, his opinion can make or break a lot of careers in a hurry. That can make for some scary situations and it might be time for another shakeup in the near future.
WWE is in a weird place at the moment as there is only so much that they can do with their limited resources. With no fans in the audience and little hope of that changing in the near future, it is not clear how things are going to go at the moment. Television audiences are not exactly thrilled either and it seems that McMahon himself has taken notice of how things are going.
According to Cagesideseats.com, McMahon blames the recent Monday Night Raw viewership and ratings drops on factors other than the empty arena and the Coronavirus. Instead, McMahon feels that it is due to the new talent still trying to get over and Brock Lesnar no longer being WWE Champion. Lesnar lost the title to Drew McIntyre earlier this month at WrestleMania 36.
There are some new names on Monday Night Raw. Check out some of the fresh talent in action:
Opinion: Please, tell me they’re not already thinking about going back to Lesnar on top. We’ve done that for the better part of ever now and it has been THREE SHOWS since McIntyre won the title. At the end of the day you have to see what someone else can do and giving McIntyre less than a month under these circumstances is a good bit ridiculous. I’m sure having Lesnar as champion for so long and barely ever showing up has nothing to do with the audience not being interested either, right?
What do you think is causing the numbers to drop? How long will McIntyre hold the title? Let us know in the comments below.
