Do you have room for two less? Next week’s Crown Jewel event hasn’t exactly had the smoothest road in the world. The show is currently scheduled to be taking place in Saudi Arabia, which is currently in the middle of an international situation due to the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. That’s going to make things a little dicey, and it might even be too dicey for some.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, John Cena and Daniel Bryan aren’t willing to work the show in Saudi Arabia. While Bryan is currently scheduled to face AJ Styles for the SmackDown World Title, Cena is part of the World Cup of Wrestling and may be wrestling multiple times on the show. Both are currently still being advertised for the show and may change their minds if the show is moved to another location.
Think they want to focus on Cena?
Opinion: To be fair, it had been a full day or so since there had been some kind of controversy with this show. This thing has been a mess from the start and it’s not seeming to get much better as the days go by. Maybe they’ll switch the location of the show, but I have no idea what they’re going to do without Bryan and Cena. That’s a lot to change about a card with such little time to go.
Do you think Cena and Bryan will work the show? What happens if they don’t? Let us know in the comments below.
