RUMOR: One More Can’t Hurt. WWE Considering Introducing A New Title.

More gold for the pile. NXT UK has done a lot of growing up over the course of the year. They have gone from this show that just airs on the WWE Network and doesn’t mean much to a show with a history and some great action. That is more than some fans likely expected from them at the start and now it seems that they might be ready to add another little something.

According to wrestling belt fan and collector Belt Fan Dan on Twitter, NXT UK is considering a midcard title to be introduced at some point in the future. Names rumored for the title are the European and Eurocontinental Title. The WWE sanctioned a European Title from 1997 – 2002, though the title rarely had anything to do with Europe. At the moment, there are three NXT UK Titles, including the United Kingdom Title, the Tag Team Titles and the Women’s Title.

Opinion: It’s not the worst idea in the world as there is a deep enough roster to support something like this. If nothing else it gives NXT UK another way to spread things out a bit and not focus on the same people and stories so often. That has been a big benefit to the regular NXT and the same situation could very well hold true for the UK counterpart. Just come up with a good name for it.
