That might change things. With an announced main event of Jinder Mahal vs. Brock Lesnar in a non-title champion vs. champion match, “Survivor Series 2017” isn’t looking like the hottest show in the world. That’s not a good main event and it needs a little something extra. Say a shot of energy in the form of some splashy colors.

According to PWInsider by way of Wrestlinginc.com, John Cena is scheduled to be announced as the match’s guest referee. Cena is currently a free agent appearing on the “Monday Night Raw” roster but there is no reason to think that he would be partial to either of the participants. He last appeared at “No Mercy 2017” in a loss to Roman Reigns.

Here’s what happens when Cena and Lesnar get together.

Opinion: Well, it’s not the worst idea I’ve ever heard. Cena being involved in the match could prevent this from being something other than a one sided squash for Lesnar, though I can’t imagine any other kind of screwy entrance. In theory Cena will challenge Mahal for the title one day and this very well could be part of that match’s setup.
