Maybe not? The battle between WWE and AEW has been one of the most interesting things to take place in the wrestling world in several years. There is suddenly a new promotion that can make WWE work a bit harder, including in a battle for wrestling talent. That has opened up several doors, but it seems that one such door is not as open as it was believed to be.
Earlier this week, a rumor surfaced that AEW’s the Young Bucks had sent out feelers to WWE about possibly jumping promotions. However, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there is no truth to the story. The original rumor was attributed to Meltzer, who denied saying anything such. Meltzer goes on to say that the Young Bucks are under contract to AEW until the end of 2023.
Opinion: That is quite the game changer for the Young Bucks and odds are it means that they are going to be sticking around. I could see them seeking out possible interest down the lines, but fifteen months early seems to be a long time, especially in a company where they have that much influence. Maybe the team jumps at some point, but it does not seem likely anytime soon.
What do you think of the Young Bucks? Will they eventually go to WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
