Not so fast. Wrestling is a business that moves very fast. Just a few weeks, if not a few days, can be a lifetime in wrestling as you never know how quickly things are going to move from one story to the next. That can be both a positive and a negative given the situation, but it also means that stories can be said a little too fast. In those cases, sometimes things need to be pulled back in a hurry, which seems to be what is going on now.
There are some wrestlers who are a lot more popular than others and that is the kind of thing that is going to make reactions to them a little stronger. Bad news for these wrestlers can feel devastating at times and that is the case when you won’t be seeing them for a long time to come. That seemed to be the case with a popular star on Monday, but now maybe things aren’t what they seem.
On Monday night, rumors began to break that Samoa Joe had been suspended for violating the WWE Wellness Policy, which would include a thirty day suspension. Since then though, PWInsider.com has reported that there is no truth to the rumors and Samoa Joe is merely out of action with a possible concussion. As of late Tuesday night, WWE has not announced any suspension and only mentioned the potential injury on this week’s Monday Night Raw.
Samoa Joe has been busy as of late. Check out some of his more recent work:
Opinion: Assuming that there is no violation, this is some very good news for both WWE and Samoa Joe. He is someone that WWE could use on Monday Night Raw at the moment as you can almost guarantee a good match from him. While the possible injury sounds bad, there is a big difference between being hurt and being suspended. If nothing else, one looks like a failure and the other looks like an accident, which are two very different things.
What is next for Samoa Joe? What will he do at WrestleMania 36? Let us know in the comments below.
