Someone has to stop him. You may love him, hate him or somewhere in the middle him, but there is no way that you can ignore Brock Lesnar. Since returning to the WWE in 2012, Lesnar has dominated the main event scene, holding one of the two World Titles for long stretches at a time. That is the case again right now, but maybe that will change sooner rather than later.

With less than two months to go before WrestleMania 36, we know who Lesnar is scheduled to defend his title against at the biggest show of the year. Drew McIntyre won the Royal Rumble to earn the right for the title shot, but there is a little bit more to accomplish before we get down to Tampa. That would include Super ShowDown, and Lesnar might not be leaving the show as champion.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Ricochet won a triple threat match to become the new #1 contender to Lesnar’s WWE Championship. Ricochet pinned to win the match, which also included Seth Rollins. The match will mark the first time that Ricochet has challenged Lesnar, though he did have a hand in setting up McIntyre to eliminate Lesnar from this year’s royal Rumble. This is Ricochet’s first ever one on one World Title match.

It was a heck of a showdown. Check out how we crowned a new #1 contender:

Opinion: Works for me. Ricochet was set up as a thorn in Lesnar’s side but more importantly he is the kind of person where you could believe in a miracle upset. It worked for Jeff Hardy against Randy Orton at the 2008 Royal Rumble and is one of the best ways to set up a title match. I doubt Ricochet wins the title, but at least there is something interesting and fresh for a change.
