Not so fast? We are in the busy season for WWE and that means things are going to get interesting in a hurry. With less than two months to go before WrestleMania 36, it is time for WWE to get going on everything that matters. There are more things to cover than just WrestleMania though, including Super ShowDown later this month. The show will include several guest stars, but maybe not one of the big ones.

One of the perks of the Saudi Arabian shows is how many major wrestlers you see on the show who you wouldn’t see anywhere else. This includes various legends who make rare appearances and occasionally get in the ring. There have been some that you might not have expected before, but this time one that you might not have expected will not be around this time.

According to PWInsider.com, talks of Sting appearing at Super ShowDown have quieted down in recent days, suggesting that he will not be part of the show. Previous rumors said that Sting could have been making an appearance in an unspecified role. This comes a day after Goldberg was confirmed for this week’s SmackDown, which could set up a Super ShowDown match.

Sting has a bit of a WWE history. Check out some of his limited appearances:

Sting and the Viper clean house: Raw, March 16, 2015

Opinion: Really, this is probably the best news possible. Sting retired for a long list of reasons, including age and a host of injuries. No matter how long he has been away, there isn’t much of a reason to see him get back in the ring for what could be a rather risky match, but also something that would likely be terrible from a performance standpoint. Let him retire in peace and don’t go any further with it, which is probably best for everyone.
