All for pomp and circumstance. WWE is making a rather big change next month when SmackDown Live moves over to FOX, immediately turning it into the biggest television show WWE has to offer. With such a change comes a lot more expectations, but also the reality that the show is suddenly going to be treated as a more professional sport. That includes a new Draft, but it might not mean as much as it seems.
According to Tom Colohue of Pro Wrestling Torch, the upcoming WWE Draft will not include a great number of changes, though some notable changes may be taking place. The lack of a high level of changes would be due to the previous Draft being set up for the move to FOX in the first place. While no dates have been set for the upcoming Draft, October 11 and October 14 seem to be likely options.
According to sources within #WWE, the next brand shakeup isn't expected to bring in sweeping changes because the previous shakeup was already made with a view to the #FOX move.
There may be notable changes, but it's more to draw a line under the #Raw and #SDLive rosters.

There was a lot to the previous one. Check out a look back at this year’s Superstar Shakeup:
Opinion: I can go for the idea of a Draft, but if it doesn’t actually last, then what is the point? WWE doesn’t seem capable of sticking with the results of a Draft and while it’s fine to move some names around every now and then, moving all kinds of people (or having a Wild Card Rule) makes the whole thing a waste of time. Hopefully they stick with this one, or we’re in for a big disappointment.
