Two more off the market. One of the many stories in a long list from earlier this year took place on April 15 when several names were released from WWE. There were suddenly dozens of wrestlers on the free agent market after the biggest cut in WWE history. That is the kind of thing that you don’t see every day but now two more of the names seem to have found a new home.
With so many names suddenly available, the big question became who would go where. Just to make things even more complicated though, there were very few options available with so many companies not running events due to the Coronavirus. With few fewer revenue streams coming in, it was not clear who could go where. Now, two of the more prominent released names seem to have been signed.
According to SportsKeeda, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are all but guaranteed to sign with Impact Wrestling, to the point that they have already filmed content for the company. This comes after Impact Wrestling has run advertisements for their Slammiversary event, saying that some of the released WWE talents will be appearing at their Slammiversary event on July 18. According to 411mania.com, Anderson and Gallows’ no compete clauses expire on the day of the show.
Gallows has spent some time there before. Check out his time in Impact Wrestling:

Opinion: This works out well enough though I’m not sure if the team is going to be able to debut at the show itself. Anderson and Gallows are the kind of team who would feel like a big deal as they had spent a lot of time with AJ Styles in WWE. Hopefully they both get what they want out of the whole situation, as they did not get the best shake in WWE and it would be nice to see them get to showcase themselves elsewhere.
