Welcome home? The wrestling world has changed a lot over the year or so with the rise of AEW. Now that there is another top tier wrestling promotion around, various companies are fighting over talent like they have not had the chance to in years. That makes things a lot more interesting for a lot of people involved, including some of the top level wrestlers. Now, WWE has their eyes on someone else.

Things have been changing all over the place in the wrestling world over the last few weeks. Several wrestlers have been leaving companies one after another, partially due to issues with the Coronavirus. That is the kind of thing that you can’t prepare for, but some wrestlers have not exactly come off well in the whole thing. One top name wrestler was released, but they already have some interest elsewhere.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has been in contact with Tessa Blanchard, who was released from Impact Wrestling earlier this week. Blanchard was the reigning Impact Wrestling World Champion when she was released, mainly due to not being willing to return from Mexico to appear at Slammiversary on July 18. There is no word on if Blanchard is interested in signing. Blanchard has appeared for WWE before, appearing in the first Mae Young Classic.

You might need to get used to this. Check out some of Blanchard’s limited time in WWE:

Opinion: I can see both sides of this, but it might not be the best idea. At the end of the day, Blanchard is an amazing talent but she was just released from Impact Wrestling a few days ago. Is that the kind of person you want to bring in mere weeks later? At the same time though, WWE has lost Charlotte and Becky Lynch in the span of about a month. Who else do they have that can come in and make that kind of an impact in a hurry?

Will WWE sign Blanchard? Do you want them to? Let us know in the comments below.
