Everyone has to start somewhere. Just over a month ago, Ronda Rousey made her in-ring debut in a near classic at WrestleMania 34. Teaming with Kurt Angle, Rousey made Stephanie McMahon tap out to defeat McMahon and her husband Triple H. Since then, Rousey has been announced as facing Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Title at Money in the Bank. However, she still hasn’t wrestled on Monday Night Raw. Now though, we might know the latest that match will take place.

Maybe she’ll be defending if she wins this?

Ronda Rousey to challenge Raw Women's Champion Nia Jax at WWE Money in the Bank

According to WKBW (Buffalo, New York), Rousey will be making her wrestling debut in Buffalo when WWE returns there later this year. In the announcement of Monday Night Raw returning to the city, Rousey’s debut is specifically mentioned and the featured attraction of the night. While no specifics are given and it is only announced as Rousey’s “wrestling debut” in the city, it certainly implies that Rousey will be in action. The show takes place on July 16.

Rousey was recently announced as the new #1 contender to the Raw Women’s Title. Why is that happening so soon?

Opinion: Well, it’s not like Rousey was never going to wrestling on television. This is a little bit different than Brock Lesnar, who has in-ring experience. Right now, Rousey has only wrestled a single match and needs to get used to the basics of being in the ring. Even if it’s just a short match, there’s no reason to not have her in the ring at some point. She doesn’t need to wrestle all the time, but just get her in there for the sake of being more prepared for her big matches.
