Maybe it’s time to change. Wrestling is an interesting industry as most major companies and promotions do not have a specific home arena. More often than not you will see the shows going from city to city, which can make it hard to set up an established audience. One pretty big company does stay in one place, though that may not be true in a few months.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been talk of moving NXT out of Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida and taking the show on the road every month instead. The move would be taking place at some time early in the new year, though it is not clear exactly when it would take place. The show would be taking place in smaller arenas with capacities of around 5,000 fans. This is something that has been discussed before though nothing has ever come of it.
A lot has happened there. Check out the greatest hits from Full Sail:
Opinion: As soon as it was announced that NXT would be going onto USA, this became a fairly inevitable conclusion. USA is paying WWE a lot of money for a show and they are not going to be happy with seeing a show in a tiny arena on the campus of the same school every single week. If nothing else, it can help bring in a little extra money, while also letting the show change things up a little bit. I don’t like it, but I understand it.
