Welcome back? The Coronavirus has changed a lot about how wrestling works, with some promotions not even being able to run events during the pandemic. That is going to be a major problem for a long time to come in some cases, though a few promotions have managed to keep things going. One might be able to get back into an arena sooner rather than later though.

While the major focus in wrestling tends to be on WWE and AEW, there are other promotions out there who are doing some good work as well. One of the longer running promotions is Ring of Honor, which has come a long way over their nearly twenty year existence. They have been absent during the Coronavirus, but that may be changing in a hurry.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff has said the company will be attempting to run some empty arena events in July. There is no word on where the events will take place or if they will be taped for television or broadcast live. It should be noted that several of Ring of Honor’s top stars, including World Champion Rush and Television Champion Dragon Lee live in Mexico, which may prevent them from working the shows. The company has already taped a match between Brody King and Tyler Bateman at a recent New Japan Pro Wrestling event in California.

The company has a history. Check out some of what they have done:

Opinion: I could go for something like this as having more wrestling back is always a good thing. Ring of Honor was starting to get some momentum going when the pandemic hit so hopefully they can get it rolling again. What we had from them was working well and while it could be difficult without all of their talent, some Ring of Honor is better than no Ring of Honor.

What do you think of the promotion? Will they work when they get back? Let us know in the comments below.
