That’s a rematch. Brock Lesnar is like few talents that the wrestling world has ever seen. Take one of the best amateur wrestling and combat sports resumes of all time and couple that with inhuman strength and a glare that could cut through rock and it’s hard to imagine many people more intimidating. He isn’t undefeated though, and WWE might be interested in cashing in on one of those losses.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is interested in bringing in mixed martial artist Cain Velasquez for a match against Lesnar. Velasquez, who debuted as a professional wrestler on August 3, is in talks with several major wrestling promotions, but is most famous for ending Lesnar’s reign as UFC Heavyweight Champion. There is no word on if Velasquez is interested in signing with WWE at the moment.

Velasquez could have been useful here. Check out Lesnar’s brutal attack on Monday Night Raw:

Opinion: This is one of those ideas that works rather well on paper, though I’m not sure Velasquez is ready for this level. He has only wrestled once so far and that isn’t going to be enough to make it through a major match without a lot of smoke and mirrors. The idea makes a lot of sense on paper, but it is something that is going to need a lot of work to make practical.

Do you think WWE will run the match? Is it a good idea? Let us know in the comments below.
