Not where you might have expected them. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been seeing vignettes telling us about the impending arrival of six names from NXT. These names have been built up over time, with a series of videos showing the people getting ready and telling us a little bit about them. All that needs to be done is have them debut, which is now the case for two of them, in a way.
According to PWInsider.com, Lacey Evans and EC3 made their main roster debuts this week before Main Event in matches taped for Main Event. EC3 defeated Curt Hawkins in what was described as a short match while Evans lost to Natalya in a “back and forth” match. There is no word on when they will debut on the main shows. The other four names are the tag team of Heavy Machinery, Lars Sullivan and Nikki Cross.
You can also see EC3’s entrance on Twitter. Or right here, because we’re good like that:
Opinion: As someone who actually watches Main Event, I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re going to have for us with this week’s show. There isn’t usually something like this on Main Event so it’s nice to see WWE make the show matter for a change. That being said, I’m not sure how smart it is to put the debuts on here, or to have Evans lose in her first match, even to Natalya.
Which of these two has more potential? Which show do you want to see them on? Let us know in the comments below.
