It happens to everyone. At some point, every wrestler is going to get hurt. There is no way to completely prevent it from happening in a match or in a physical segment as wrestling is, by nature, a contact sport. It doesn’t matter how long you have been in the ring or how much experience you have. Yes you can make it very safe, but you cannot make it completely safe. That was on display Sunday night.
Randy Orton may not be the most popular wrestler in WWE but he is certainly one of the most skilled. He has been around for nearly twenty years and has one of the best resumes in the history of the company. With so many matches and so much experience under his belt, it is clear that he is in the final years of his career. Therefore, it is not a good sign to see him getting hurt now, or at any time for that matter.
On Sunday night, Orton was hurt during a match against AJ Styles in Hershey, Pennsylvania. A few minutes into the match, Orton came up favoring his knee and the match had to be stopped as a no contest. At the moment, there is no word on how bad the injury is or if Orton will be missing any time. Orton does not have any major matches scheduled in the coming weeks.

Orton and Styles can have a good match. Check out what happens when they’re both healthy:
Opinion: That doesn’t sound good but hopefully this is the kind of thing that is just a temporary injury. You never know how bad something like this is going to be and the waiting can feel like it takes forever. A knee injury is the kind of thing that can be anywhere from a minor issue to the better part of a year away from the ring. We should know how bad things are soon and hopefully the result is positive.
What do you think of Orton? Assuming he is healthy, what is next for him after the feud with Styles? Let us know in the comments below.
