It’s time to wrap it up. Tonight is the go home episode of “Smackdown Live” as we head into “Summerslam 2017”. Therefore tonight is going to be all about setting up the show one more time, which could mean a lot of things. There’s one major match already set and several more stories to get to, all covered in the official WWE.com preview.
According to the official preview, John Cena will be facing Jinder Mahal in a non-title match for their first ever televised showdown. This match will likely help set up Sunday’s matches where Mahal will defend the Smackdown World Title against Shinsuke Nakamura and Cena will face Baron Corbin. Here are the four stories that WWE.com is previewing for tonight’s show with a video for each:

Opinion: I haven’t been thrilled with the “Smackdown Live” half of the build so far but there’s a good chance that things could pick up tonight. There’s some good stuff on the card but they need to pick up the pace a little bit. If nothing else let Nakamura get a better push towards the title.
Which match are you looking forward to most tonight? Do you think any other matches will be added to Sunday’s card? Let us know in the comments below.
