This would be a change. According to a new report from F4WOnline.com by way of WrestleZone.com,
WWE is considering making “NXT” a live show every week. This would be a major change from the current situation which has “NXT” taped weeks in advance. Most “NXT” tapings take place from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida so any extra talent would have to be flown in every week.
“NXT” has some experience with going live as they run the Takeover specials live multiple times a year. The TV show has always been different though and making such a switch would cause some issues for WWE. The change wouldn’t be expected to have much of an impact on subscribers to the WWE Network.
I’m really not sure what the point of this is. If the subscriber count isn’t going to be changed, what’s the benefit of paying all the extra production costs and bringing in all of the talent every single week? The system they have in place seems to be working just fine so why mess with something that’s already going well?
