This changes a few things. According to topropepress.com, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Samoa Joe at the NXT house show in Osaka, Japan to regain the NXT Title. Samoa Joe had won the title two weeks ago in the main event of “Takeover: Toronto” with the help of a low blow. The two of them will be squaring off again in Australia inside a steel cage later this week.

To go along with this, Nakamura is now in line to defend the title at “Takeover: San Antonio” against Bobby Roode, who was crowned as the new #1 contender at the most recent “NXT” tapings. There’s always the chance that the title could change hands again but for now, we’re looking at Nakamura vs. Roode.

Assuming he doesn’t get the title back in Australia, this looks like a near guarantee that Samoa Joe is going to be debuting in the 2017 Royal Rumble. There’s no real reason to keep him in NXT after he’s already won and lost the title twice in less than a year so get him to the main roster and let him cause more chaos.

Do you think Samoa Joe will get the title back? Are you looking forward to Nakamura vs. Roode? Let us know in the comments below.
