You can see him….in certain places! When his return was announced a few weeks back, John Cena was suddenly listed as a free agent. While he had been on “Smackdown Live” for the better part of a year, now he’s allowed to be on both shows. There’s no specific reason given for this, but it means good things for a certain group of wrestling fans.
John Cena returns on Fourth of July: SmackDown LIVE, June 13, 2017
According to Wrestlinginc.com, while Cena isn’t likely to be appearing on “Monday Night Raw” television anytime soon, he is scheduled for some upcoming “Monday Night Raw” house shows, including July 15 in Huntington, West Virginia and July 16 in Lexington, Kentucky. At the moment, Cena is scheduled to work most of the Monday house shows for “Smackdown Live” until “Summerslam 2017”, making “Monday Night Raw” TV appearances unlikely.
Opinion: I actually live in Lexington, Kentucky and until this news came out, I had no idea that Cena was scheduled for the show. If WWE is going to be using Cena to boost up the “Monday Night Raw” house shows, it would be do them some good to actually advertise his appearances. Otherwise, the attendance isn’t going to change a bit.
