So much for that. Back in February 2019, WWE brought back the Women’s Tag Team Titles after a nearly thirty year absence. The move changed the way the women’s division worked and that was a very good thing. Suddenly there were several new doors opened up for the wrestlers and while they took some time to get going, the titles have finally started to get somewhere with several new teams. However, one newly formed team seems to already be done.

Just before the WWE Draft back in October, the IIconics were split up due to losing a match to the Riott Squad on Monday Night Raw. This was a bit of a surprise as the team had been one of the more successful in WWE but now it was time for them to be pushed on their own. That made it all the more confusing when Peyton Royce was put into a new team with Lacey Evans. Well hang on a second.

During this week’s edition of the Bump, the show’s Twitter account sent out a question, asking for a name for the Royce/Evans team. However, Royce responded to the tweet saying that the two of them were not a team and she would only ever be in a team with Billie Kay. Evans responded to Royce, mocking her for saying that she is “dead serious”. There is no word on if WWE has plans for the two to team again.

It didn’t last long. Check out what the two of them have been up to lately:

Opinion: I’m not sure what to make of this, as Royce seemed primed to be pushed on her own and now for some reason she is just kind of floundering without anything to do. It’s a weird situation but I’d rather Royce be on her own than in another team. If you’re going to have her in a team, just find a way to put the IIconics back together. Or push Royce on her own. Just do something logical rather than making this stuff up as you go and hoping it makes sense.

What do you think of Royce? Should she be on her own or in a team? Let us know in the comments below.
