It couldn’t last forever. There are all kinds of teams in wrestling, though some of them do not last forever in WWE. That is the kind of thing you can’t expect at times, though in rare occasions the split is so obvious that you know it’s coming from a mile away but still have to wait to see it happen. After a long time coming, we have finally reached the official split of another team.

Back in February 2019, WWE brought back the Women’s Tag Team Titles, marking a new direction for the women’s divisions. Now there were two more titles around for the women to challenge for and that means there needed to be some new teams created. It took some time to get there, but the division finally started to get off the ground. Now though, one of the most successful is being split up.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross officially split up, with Cross telling Bliss to choose between her and the Fiend, with Bliss saying that she was picking the Fiend. Bliss has been associated with the Fiend since October, with Cross trying to get her to snap out of it. Bliss and Cross are two time Women’s Tag Team Champions, having won the titles for a second time earlier this year at WrestleMania 36.

The team has been around for a little while. Check out their rise and fall:

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest shock in the world but it does make you wonder how WWE is planning to keep the division going with so few teams. The IIconics recently split up as well and there is little reason to believe that there will be more than two or three teams at any given time. That does not make for much of a division and it is going to make for a pretty lacking series of challenges for the time being.

Should WWE have split up the team? Who will be a champion again first? Let us know in the comments below.
