Maybe it’s time to change. Over the last few weeks, WWE has been making some major adjustments to their television product by bringing in Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff to take over their main shows. While Bischoff is not quite into his show just yet, Heyman has been gaining influence for a long time now and it seems that there are a few changes that he wants to make.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Heyman has been trying to implement some changes to Monday Night Raw to make it more realistic. These changes mainly focus on having more realistic dialogue in backstage segments and having storyline developments have more consequences. An example of the latter would be Braun Strowman missing some television after driving Bobby Lashley through the set earlier in the month.
Yeah this needed some more time. Check out the crash that made things more realistic:
Opinion: How is this supposed to be some brilliant idea? This is something that should be common sense, but the fact that it isn’t is the kind of thing that sums up the issues with WWE at the moment. Just having someone talk more realistically will be a help as it takes me out of a segment when someone says something ridiculous that no human would ever say. It is something that has worked before but for some reason now it isn’t allowed? Thank goodness for these changes, though they should have happened a long time ago.
