Changing the guard. This year’s Royal Rumble has come and gone, which means you know that things have changed. The show is leading us up to WrestleMania 35 and with that comes a lot of things to cover. Several of those things took place at the Royal Rumble, as we now know who will be headlining the show. We also know some things a little further down the card, yet still important.
On Sunday night at the Royal Rumble, Shane McMahon and the Miz defeated the Bar to become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions. This was the duo’s first significant match as a team after they got together earlier in the month. Miz had been recruiting McMahon for weeks after Crown Jewel, saying that they could be the best tag team in the world.
Well what else would we look at here? Check out the new champs in action:
Opinion: I’m not sure I understand this one. I haven’t been a McMahon fan in a good while now and it seems that there are better options for this kind of a push. You have the Good Brothers, the Usos, Sanity and probably several others. I have a hard time buying that Miz and McMahon are the best option, especially if this is just meant to set up a match between the two of them at WrestleMania.
What do you think of the new champions? Where is this leading? Let us know in the comments below.
