It had been previously reported that John Cena suffered an injury a couple of weeks go on an episode of Raw, leaving his status for the 2019 Royal Rumble match up in the air.

Earlier today on WWE.com, and confirmed on the Royal Rumble kick-off show, due to his injury, Cena will be unable to compete in the 30-man Rumble match.

With Cena out, who will take his place?

It is being reported that Braun Strowman will take Cena’s place and compete in the 2019 Royal Rumble match.

Editor’s Opinion:

This will work. The Royal Rumble match is a safe place for Strowman to be in, should he not be fully recovered from his injuries. He can stay out of the way, do what he needs to do, and then find a way to get himself eliminated from the match. Plus, the pop that he will receive from the WWE Universe will be electric!
