Out of many, one. It’s the interesting time of the year as the Royal Rumble is upon us and WrestleMania 35 is about two and a half months away. That means that we’re going to be seeing a lot of stuff going on in a hurry, including a few extra shows that aren’t usually on the schedule. One such tournament took place at the Royal Rumble Axxess event and has title implications.

According to PWInsider.com, the Velveteen Dream won the first ever Worlds Collide tournament today, defeating Tyler Bate. The win earns Velveteen Dream an NXT Title shot at some point in the future. This is the first time that the tournament has taken place and part of it will be airing as a two hour special this coming Saturday night on the WWE Network.

The winner had something to say before he got started. Check out what Velveteen Dream said on Saturday:

Velveteen Dream eyes the NXT Championship as the Worlds Collide Tournament approaches

Opinion: Velveteen Dream felt like a strong possibility as he’s been doing some interesting things down in NXT as of late. There’s a good chance that this is going to be a one off match that leads nowhere, but it’s also possible that this match could send Velveteen Dream up another level. He’s been near the main event for a long time now and he could go even further with a title win.
