So Long And Farewell? Another Popular WWE Superstar’s Contract Is Coming Up Soon.

Yes another one. WWE is in an interesting place at the moment with all kinds of names either trying to get out of their deals with the company or sitting at home waiting around doing nothing. There are so many people on the roster that it is virtually impossible to get everyone on television and one wrestler doesn’t exactly seem thrilled with the prospect of doing that going forward.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Rusev’s contract is coming up soon and he is currently on a leave of absence from the company. While this does not mean that he is considering leaving, it does suggest that he is not happy with parts of his deal. Rusev recently seemed to shoot down a report that said he was away from WWE due to asking for time off. Rusev’s last match with the company outside of the Super ShowDown battle royal took place on April 16.

Opinion: Rusev is the kind of guy who is stuck in the WWE cycle despite having more talent and charisma than he knows what to do with. He could have been swapped in for all kinds of spots on the show but that isn’t the case for one reason or another. I’m not sure if Rusev is going to go elsewhere or not, but can you blame him for wanting out after being stuck in limbo like this?
