Eight isn’t enough. Last year, the Miz lost the Intercontinental Title to Roman Reigns as he was off to film a new movie. That reason for the loss made it seem like it would be a matter of time before Miz got the title back. Now Miz is back from filming the movie and he had a title shot this week on “Monday Night Raw”.
At the 25th Anniversary of “Monday Night Raw”, Miz did indeed win the Intercontinental Title back from Reigns, pinning him with a Skull Crushing Finale after a spear hit an exposed turnbuckle. This is Miz’s eighth Intercontinental Title reign, putting him one win behind Chris Jericho for the most all time. It also puts him just under ninety days and counting away from the most days as champion ever.
Here’s a look at the match:
Roman Reigns vs. The Miz - Intercontinental Championship Match: Raw 25, Jan. 22, 2018
Opinion: I’m all on board for this as Miz is one of the best Intercontinental Champions of all time. It’s one of those things that just feels right and I’m fine with him holding the title for a long time, including picking up both records in the process. It won’t make him the best champion of all time but after everything Miz has dealt with and overcome, he’s earned the honors.
Do you like Miz regaining the title? Who will take it from him? Let us know in the comments below.
