The Leading Candidates To Face Roman Reigns At WrestleMania 37

You need to get ready. We are almost on the Road to WrestleMania 37 and that means WWE really needs to start putting things together. They already have a few plans made, but at the same time there are some decisions that need to be made. With less than five months to go before the show, WWE needs to start making up their minds on the big matches, but it seems that they have at least started narrowing things down.

The biggest story in WWE in recent weeks has been the rise of Roman Reigns. After several years of seeming like he was ready to break through to the next level, Reigns has jumped up to the top of the company as a complete monster. That is the kind of thing that is going to need a special challenger at WrestleMania and WWE has started to shave their list down a bit.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the most two likely choices to challenge Reigns for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 37 are Drew McIntyre and Daniel Bryan. The possible Goldberg vs. Reigns match, which was teased earlier this week on the Bump, was never considered as a serious contender for Reigns’ match. There is no word on when the decision will be made.

Opinion: There are only a handful of options to face Reigns at WrestleMania and these are two of the best choices. Unless WWE is going to be bringing in someone from outside to face him, Bryan and McIntyre are as good of a pair of options as WWE has available. I’m curious to see how Reigns goes, and saving something big for him at WrestleMania is a good idea.
