That’s why? Over the last few weeks, vignettes have aired showing that a group of six stars from NXT are on their way to the main roster. The problem is that the same vignettes have aired for weeks now with no sign that any of them are ready to show up on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live. This seems like an odd problem, but it turns out that there is a very simple reason.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, the reason is that the vignettes weren’t supposed to air until later. The first vignette featured only Lars Sullivan and stated airing back at Survivor Series. Soon after that the ratings for Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live began to tank, causing the need to shake things up a bit. Therefore the vignettes started airing, even though it wasn’t time to bring the people up yet.
I think you know where this is going. Check out who is coming to WWE:
Opinion: That’s kind of a lame reason to keep airing the same vignettes. If you know that the people aren’t going to be coming up for awhile, air them less frequently or cut them out until you’re ready to bring them up. Fans aren’t going to be happy that they have to keep waiting and the things are starting to get annoying, mainly because I’ve seen them so many times. The new talent will help, but get them up already.
