Kane on Jinder Mahal, Braun Strowman and More

From a veteran to a rising star. To say Jinder Mahal was a major surprise this year would be an understatement. The guy went from absolutely nothing to the top of the “Smackdown Live” roster for nearly half of the year. That kind of an improvement has to mean something to some of the bigger names on the roster, one of which has commented on it.

In a new interview with the Times of India, Kane commented on a number of issues, including Mahal’s rise to the top of the company, his feud with Braun Strowman (including a match he’ll be having with Strowman on the upcoming tour of India) and Strowman’s career improvements as well. Here are some highlights.

On Strowman’s Rise

“Braun Strowman is doing a great job and he is going to have great career in WWE. I think at the end of the career he will be known as one of the great big men ever.”

On Facing Strowman

“India tour is going to be a great event. All big superstars are going be there Triple H, Jinder Mahal, The Shield, Samoa Joe, Cesaro and Sheamus and the match with Strowman, it is going to be a big match; two big guys doing their best to prove who is the dominant big man in the WWE.”

And on Jinder Mahal Becoming A WWE Success Story

“His is a great story. He was in the WWE years ago, then left company. And then really improved both in his wrestling and his body and came back and became a world champion. I think a guy like Jinder Mahal is really what every WWE superstar should strive to become.”

Opinion: I know he might not be the most popular name in the world but Kane is one of those guys who has been around so long that he’s going to have an interesting opinion. He’s right about Mahal as well, who has gone from nothing to a huge star. That’s quite impressive and one of the rare instances of someone grabbing the brass ring.
