This one could take some time. One of the biggest stories last week was the Revival requesting their releases from WWE. This was a bit of a surprise as wrestlers rarely ask to get out of WWE, but the Revival certainly seemed to want to go. With this story came a host of questions, including when the Revival would be able to leave if they weren’t released. Now we have an answer.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the Revival’s WWE contracts aren’t up until April 2020, meaning that would be the earliest they could leave WWE should the company not grant them their releases. At the moment, there is no indication that WWE would allow them to walk away. While nothing has been specified, it seems that the Young Bucks are interested in bringing the Revival into AEW.

The Revival was in action on Monday. Check out their Tag Team Title shot:

Opinion: That’s a long time for Revival to sit on the bench should they choose to, but I can’t imagine that’s the path they would take. If they’re wanting to go to a different promotion, not appearing for that long doesn’t seem like the best idea. They’re only going to lose a ton of momentum if they sit out and you never know when WWE might change their minds and go with them. It’s not like the tag division is that strong in the first place.
